Free Victory Garden Kits

Victory Gardens San Diego will help a limited number of San Diego families start their home gardens by supplying a FREE garden kit (worth $200!) and assistance to create a 4’ x 8’ garden area.

An average kit contains:

  • Appropriate materials for your raised bed (if required), or in-ground bed creation.
  • A drip irrigation system including a timer
  • Compost and planter mix
  • Watering can
  • Gloves
  • Seeds
  • Gardening tools
  • and more!

Garden kits may vary depending on the size and
location of your garden area.

Applications are now being accepted for a limited number of free garden kits. We will consider diversity of income, ethnicity, neighborhood, gardening experience and suitability of your gardening site. Early applicants receive priority, so send in your application soon! After your application is submitted and you are chosen for consideration, you will be contacted to arrange a site visit. If you are selected to receive a free garden kit, you will work with the Victory Gardens team to install a garden at your site. Although you will be the primary caretaker of the garden, the Victory Garden team will provide ongoing support.

To apply, fill in the online form below or click here to download a paper application (Acrobat Reader required).
