Victory Garden San Diego
Organic Vegetable
Gardening Classes

VGSD is offering organic vegetable gardening classes starting in June. Classes will be offered as a series of four to eight classes, given at different times and locations throughout central San Diego.

Class topics will include:

  • Natural ways to eliminate your existing lawn
  • Soil Amendment
  • Bed Preparation and Soil Awareness
  • Plant Selection
  • Planting, Maintaining and Harvesting your Garden
  • Irrigation
  • Composting
  • How to Prepare and Eat your Harvest!

There will be a nominal, sliding-scale fee for the class series to help cover expenses. To be considered for a given class series, you must be able to commit to the entire series for which you sign up, and pay in advance.

The first step is to fill out the application form below. You will be contacted afterward to assess your availability and locations for you to consider as we get them worked out, largely based on demand.

Priority will be given to those who are most willing to help share what you've learned with new gardeners, as that is the goal of VGSD!
